It’s hard writing this article…I’ts note even a real writeup as long story short I got banned from the hackerlab this year…It was my first experience playing a CTF in a full team of four people and we ended up getting banned for flag sharing. XD…I won’t deny that we did share flags but it was mostly our Captain only ZMB_STACK a dev/hacker/influencer on tiktok and that nibba was openly sharing flags in his tiktok lives…I mean…man it hurts now XD. Another guy I liked a lot is a new “friend” I made named B04_Punk. He is cool. The last guy was named 7H3 OR1G1N4L5 but I think he is mostly a CTF beginner or mid-level player. His discord name was jack-tibo. This year I was very excited to win but my experience overall was mixed. I was very happy to be part of a team and I learned a lot from the other players. I also learned that CTFs are not always fair and that you have to be careful about who you trust. We were among 68 banned teams so I understood a lot of people actually cheat in CTFs which is sad. Automatic solve with AI was also prohibited even tho the use of AI as any external research tool was allowed. We genuinely solved some challenges and proudly earned 800 points for my team before we got banned. I hope to play again next year. It was a great time and I learned a lot which matters the most to me. I hope to see you all next year and maybe even win. GLHF!!
